Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the independent provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only what the sender chooses to include, and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services create routine logs such as an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and time of visit. We review that information in combined form to maintain the service and understand page use. Basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools.
How Information Is Used
Technical data supports operation, error correction, traffic measurement, and content maintenance. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links may lead to county or state portals, library collections, archives, and independent search services. The privacy rules of each destination govern information supplied there. That includes sponsored search results provided by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Providers that host or support the service may process its routine logs. Analytics or advertising partners can receive the automatic data described above. Information is otherwise disclosed only when valid legal process requires it.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for the operating purposes described above. Because there are no accounts, the service does not hold a user password or profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Requests
Depending on where a visitor lives, access, correction, or deletion rights may apply to personal information a service keeps. Since we keep very little, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and available server logs, then removing applicable information. Use the Contact page to make a request. Michigan, county, and city public records are controlled by their custodians, so any request involving those records belongs with the responsible office.
Policy Changes
Revisions will appear here. Continued use after a posted revision signifies acceptance of the revised policy.
